Using CPTG Essential Oils For Your Little One...
Always Use The Highest Quality Essential Oil.
It’s important to use nothing but the most pure and safe, therapeutic grade essential oils because everything we put onto our skin also goes into our body and this is even more important for babies and children. Most people think 'oh an oil is an oil' and head to the high street or buy a cheaper one online. This is a costly mistake as other essential oils can have solvents, pesticides, synthetics and other chemicals in as they are not regulated. Not what you want for your precious child. You cannot tell by looking at the label what some oils contain, that is why we ONLY use doTERRA Essential Oils! All doTERRA's Essential Oils are independently tested by a third party, not only for the nasties but also to check that what they have extracted from the plant and put in the bottle is the most effective that it can be and if it doesn't meet the standards and get the CPTG stamp (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) then it doesn't get sold!
PLEASE NOTE: doTERRA don't sell on Amazon or eBay so its not guaranteed that you'll be getting a genuine doTERRA product.
Always Dilute Essential Oils For Babies & Children
We ALWAYS dilute for little ones to avoid irritation, to aid in absorption and expose the babies to a lower amount of the Essential Oil. As these CPTG Essential Oils are so powerful a baby or child only needs the smallest amount!
Essential Oils for newborns and babies should be used minimally and only as needed for the first 3 months.
What Are The Most Gentle Oils For Your Newborn or Baby?*
Appropriately diluted these oils can be used from birth:
Melaleuca (Tea Tree oil)
*Many other oils can be used safely. These are the oils we have found to be most gentle. Use all essential oils at your own discretion.
Single Essential Oils To Save Until They Are Older: Cassia, Cinnamon, Oregano & Peppermint. These Essential Oils can all be irritating to the skin and/or irritating for new and tiny respiratory systems. These oils are less of an issue as part of a blend but typically can be substituted with a more gentle oil from the list above. Most importantly, always use your own discretion, experience and resources in making these choices for your child.
